Byung Ho Park connects during batting practice. |
Park didn't make a lot of contact last year, but when he did, he had a rather elect exit velocity. And he seems, in the very early going of spring training, to have recovered nicely from his hand surgery. On Friday he singled and doubled -- the double perhaps a blown call from being a homer -- and on Saturday he homered and hit a sac fly.
Perhaps his 2016 struggles were more the result of injury than talent or acclimation. My personal belief is that a lot of teams will regret letting him slide through waivers a few weeks ago. We'll see.
I am an optimist, I hope you are right.
ReplyDeleteTwins cannot have bad luck all the time. It seems a good time for a change!
All of our 'regulars' except Dozier, Mauer and Castro played today. None of them got a hit or even a walk. Park is looking like the only guy who is taking ST seriously.
