Bad news for Byron Buxton

Bryon Buxton -- the top prospect in all of baseball -- made his Double A debut Wednesday night in New Britain. He was 0-for-3 with three strikeouts. And then things got worse:

The game was delayed more than a half hour while Buxton was stabilized and loaded onto an ambulance to be taken to the hospital. Right fielder Mike Kavsnicka, a Minnesotan himself (Lakeville and the University of Minnesota), also went to the hospital but was walking.

Terry Ryan, the Twins general manager, was at the game. He went to the hospital with Buxton and Kavsnicka and later was on the RockCats radio broadcast:

It's scary stuff for Buxton and the Twins. The kid -- Buxton is 20 -- has had a lost season, and I wouldn't expect him to pop back into the lineup this weekend.
