Matt Holliday of the St. Louis Cardinals fouls off a bunt during practice. |
The man's been in the National League since 2004. He generally hits in the middle of the order, and middle of the order guys are seldom bunters.
And Holliday has one sac bunt in his career. It came in that rookie season.
Yet there he is in training camp trying to lay one down — something he's not going to be asked to do during the season. It's a waste of time.
"It's a waste of time." Wrong Ed, a well rounded player should be able to lay one down if ever told......part of good coaching and also part of being a well prepared player. As a former coach, I expected this type of preparation from all my players.
